So long September? Old news, right?
It's well in to October now but I'm still playing blog catch up after having a baby.
I wanted to recap some memorable moments from September. It has been my favourite month so far this year :)
The month began with a fun weekend with family. friends and sunshine! Read the recap here. I was starting to think it may have been our last summer weekend because that week we got snow! Yes, a summer snow storm... One day Halle was playing in her swim suit at the spray park and the next she was in her snow suit in the backyard.
Even though September snow was a serious mood killer, these photos of Halle playing outside are pretty cute! And they make for a fun memory for our daily calendar project.

Luckily, the snow was gone after a few days and the next week we were back to Summer temps. This worked out perfect for my maternity photos because I had my mind set on a late summer backdrop instead of winter wonderland ;)
Our first grandparent, Matthew's dad, arrived that week too! It was so great to have the extra help with Halle.
Matthew and I went on our first official date since moving to Calgary in December!! I was still pregnant at this point and unable to join in on the happy hour fun but it was great to finally have a night out together in the city!
We met some friends at a bar downtown and then headed to the west coast premiere of How to be Deadly. It stars Donny Dunphy, a YouTube star from Newfoundland. It's his first major movie and was playing here as part of the Calgary Film Festival. Matthew and friends enjoyed drinks at the show while I settled for a big box of whoppers and lots of laughs at the characters from our hometown.
Earlier that day had been fun, too! In the morning we took Halle to an event in a nearby neighbourhood. It's a new development and the show homes hosted a family day complete with a petting zoo, bouncy castles, face painting and food trucks. The sun was shining and it was a great pre-nap activity for Halle... Girl loves a good bounce! ;)
That afternoon we met some family, who were in town for the weekend, at a BBQ! It was a beautiful day and there were some kids there for Halle to play with. And another bouncy castle, too! We had some good food and great company... So we had our last real weekend of Summer after all :)
Later that week marked the official start of Fall. My favourite season!
I nested a bit by putting up some fall décor and doing some baking :)
And the next weekend we welcomed our 'Autumn' baby! Which really topped off this month for being a great one! You can read Autumn's birth story here.
The day after she was born was Matthew's birthday! Safe to say this year's celebrations were a tad different for him. Swapped a night of partying for baby's first night home from the hospital! Double fisting babies instead of beers ;)
We wrapped up the month spending time settling in as a family of four and excited for next month's visitors. So far October has been a goodie, too! I will be sharing some Fall fun photos soon, so stay tuned :)
As always thanks for reading! Hope your season is off to a great start as well!
